Under the hood, the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado features an impressive new lineup of engines including a more powerful 2.7 L turbocharged engine which now delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque for a total towing capability of 9,600 lb. There's also a new Duramax diesel engine which delivers 4,000 more pounds of towing capability for a total of 13,300 lb. And then there is the all-new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2, the first-ever ZR2 trim for the Silverado. This off-road model come standard with Multimatic DSSV dampers, uniquely-tuned springs with increased front and rear suspension travel, specific off-road chassis and suspension calibrations with Terrain mode for one-pedal rock crawling, 33-inch off-road mud tires, and a new front bumper with an improved 31.8 degree approach angle.
